The Thirty-Seven Practices

 of a Bodhisattva

By Ngulchu Thogme

In very few words, this text offers all the key points of spiritual practice in a manner that is clear and easy to understand.  It includes explanations on developing bodhichitta and practicing the six perfections, calm abiding, and special insight. It also contains many profound methods for carrying adversity onto the path.

The study and contemplation of these teachings provides an excellent means for developing spiritual practice. Through logic and reasoning, confidence arises from the very core of our being.  We become inspired to sincerely apply ourselves to the ultimate path, to abandon all activities which bring small results, and to rejoice in the practice that bears great fruit.
